Magnesium is important in the production and transfer of energy, muscle contraction and relaxation, and nerve conduction. It also aids regularity, is necessary to keep vertebrae in their proper position, induces restful sleep, purifies and purges body tissues (combats acids, toxins, gases, impurities, and neutralizes poisons), and lowers fever. Magnesium is stored in the bowel, nerves and ligaments. Chlorophyll and green vegetables contain large amounts of magnesium.

The human body needs water-soluble magnesium with calcium. If our bodies do not have approximately two parts magnesium for every one calcium molecule, the calcium becomes a pollutant to the body and can cause heart disease, arthritis, senility, osteoporosis, hardening of the arteries, calcification of the tissue and organs, and complete degeneration through calcification of all bodily functions. Calcium is not a good product to have in the body without the proper magnesium levels. If we have proper magnesium levels, the body can then use the calcium it needs and discharge the rest. Most people have more calcium in their diets than they need, but have an absolute shortage of magnesium. We are told we need calcium, yet there is little or no magnesium in our diets.
